Delphi Medical offers a range of benefits in addition to the satisfaction of helping so many people.
Delphi offers an excellent remuneration package to all staff which is highly competitive against other organisations in the sector.
We provide flexible working opportunities and promote work/life balance. We offer all our staff the opportunity to ask for flexible working and accommodate this wherever possible. Some people work part-time, others either annualised or compressed hours and some people work from home.
Time off and Annual Leave
Delphi has a Time Off and Annual Leave Policy which outlines leave and additional bank holidays, as well as recognising there may be occasions when special leave is required. The annual leave year runs from 1 April to 31 March and you will receive an Annual Leave Form upon commencement of employment.
Following the successful completion a probationary period, Delphi staff are entitled to join Delphi Medical's pension scheme, where we offer a generous employer contribution. In addition, you are also able to make personal contributions to your pension.
We value your opinions so we have a Delphi Employee Forum where staff have the opportunity to voice their opinion and network with other employees within the organisation. This is the ideal place for staff to make recommendations regarding service development and opportunities.
Delphi Medical provides a two week Induction Programme for all new starters which outlines how the organisation operates, introduces new members of staff to colleagues within their service and the wider organisation and sets out the expectations for staff joining us.
Supervision and Performance Appraisal
Delphi Medical defines supervision as a regular, structured, documented meeting between a member of staff and their line manager. The aim of supervision is to support staff to deliver effective performance in support of Delphi Medical's vision, values and strategic objectives.
Managers will carry out regular supervision with you in line with Delphi's Supervision Policy.
Each member of staff will have a Performance Appraisal on an annual basis and usually around March/April time. Performance appraisal provides the opportunity to reflect on the past 12 months and to review any challenges or any successes from the year in a reflective and constructive manner.
Staff have the opportunity to discuss any training and development needs they may have which may enhance skills and development in their role.
A Learning Culture
We are committed to continued professional development for all staff across all disciplines and provide regular training and learning opportunities. As accredited trainers for the RCGP Level One in Drugs, Alcohol and Secured Environments, we encourage all staff to attend the course relevant to their role. We encourage managers who do not already hold a management qualification, to undertake a Leadership and Management qualification. We provide a range of in-house, bespoke training and outsource training where applicable including e-learning.
We employ Non-Medical Prescribers and proactively support nursing staff to carry out their non-medical prescribing qualification. Nurses and other staff employed in professional roles will be expected to work at a level of knowledge, skill, expertise and responsibility in keeping with their training, experience and qualification and will be supported to undertake relevant CPD activities commensurate with the role and the requirements of your professional body.
Doctors are subject to annual appraisal in keeping with GMC Good Medical Practice and for revalidation. Doctors are fully supported by Delphi Medical with their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) where dedicated time is made available for continued development.
