We are at the end of the first week of meditating at work for Delphi head office.

I have managed to fit in three days of meditating and hope to do another session after writing this.

It is certainly an experience and one that totally changes the perspective on the day, for me at least. And well worth it just for that – I love a change in perspective.

I have some advice based on my own experience:

There is no wrong way to do it.

Thoughts of ‘Am I doing this right?, are just that – thoughts, and nothing more.

Thoughts of ‘I am not meditating as well as yesterday/last week’, are just that – thoughts, and nothing more.

Finding yourself having thought about some issue or another for what seems like a very long time, is normal and just more thoughts.

I did find that when I started doing this I was shocked and slightly overwhelmed by just how many thoughts I had. I could drift away on them for quite extended times totally losing touch with where I actually was – just for reassurance, this has not really changed for me after two years!

So I say go forth and meditate – what’s holding you back?
